This sculpture is a facsimile of a bucket arch, which is a special component used in ancient Chinese architecture. It is usually placed on the pillar head and forehead, facing the house to prop up beams and to pick up eaves. But I improved the inner structure. Usually a Tenon and Mortise structure create the rectangle. But I add some round Tenon and Mortise structure to improve the stability. I think it is a crystallization of wisdom of Chinese traditional culture.
